Bold, Oversized, & Outrageous-StudioLeanne {Giveaway}

Welcome Leanne ofStudioLeanne on Etsy!

We have an Aussie in our midst-Leanne currently resides in Melbourne, Australia with her husband, teenage daughter, and a very aloof ragdoll cat named Oliver; all overlooking a beautiful beach none-the-less!

{Lucky duck!}

She is a full-time wife and mother, and told me that she thinks Etsy is a perfect partner for her extremely beautiful and unique cocktail rings.

"My creative life began during my school years where I discovered a passion for pottery. I’ve been potting for some years now, creating pieces in stoneware and porcelain."

During her time creating her pottery, Leanne discovered the magic of glass and as they say, things just fell into place! Ever since then, she has incorporated the medium into a great deal of her work.

"My daughter wanted a specific piece of jewelery that I made for her, and from that beginning, a range of bold, oversized and outrageous cocktail rings developed." If you happen to take a look through StudioLeanne, you'll realize that 'bold,' 'oversized,' and 'outrageous' are not understated descriptive words for Leanne's designs. In fact, you'd wonder where she could possibly get all her inspirations for these beautiful rings!

When asked about inspiration, Leanne had this to say: "Inspiration comes with the seasons. The beautiful sunsets, the stormy skies, the surf and the evening calm provide the individual colors and designs for each piece."

It's not hard to conclude that out of everything, her favorite materials are clay and glass, intertwining her love of pottery with her love of glass. When asked, Leanne also said she hopes in the future she can include more enamel work into her every expanding repertoire.

Advice from Leanne:: "Perseverance! Hang in there and never give up, and above all be original- that’s how StudioLeanne started; that’s how everyone starts."
