Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I come from Bulgaria, live in Germany and have a strong passion for elegant and sensual jewellery from all walks of life.
By profession, I’m a software product manager and design Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for one of the largest software enterprise companies in the world and by heart-a jewellery designer and own an online jewellery store Anokha since June 2009.
I believe that the greatest ideas in jewellery making come on intersections of cultures, traditions and occupations. Throughout my traveling around the world, I’ve gathered inspirations for various styles and themes that find resonance in my designs.

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
I create value and I make my customers happy- this is all the matters to me.
When and what made you want to open up your shop?
I had the idea for an online jewellery store for a long time. And this is the magical thing with ideas: you have to let them grow and when the right moment comes, you turn them into something tangible.
Here is what I noticed for the past 10 years (the time I’ve spent in Germany): The majority of German women, compared to the women in India/Mexico/Brazil/Egypt/Eastern Europe, do not wear a lot of jewellery and when they do, it is plain, and in a way, very conservative- from a very simple ring, a pair of stud earrings to a plain necklace and….well, that’s it….But I noticed that the women I met like the designs of the jewellery that I wear that I have bought throughout my travels around the world.
So, I started the online jewellery shop with my primary target group- German women, but very soon I found out that women all over the world- from India, Lebanon, Croatia, Switzerland, and Australia like my designs and now I sell worldwide.
Tell us a little bit more about your creation process:
I sketch my designs using pen and paper based on inspirations- things that I see in magazines, women that I encounter at airports, bazaars, streets of Metropolitan cities, cafés. This is how I come up with ideas.

Where do you draw inspiration for all your amazing designs?
Travel, architecture, textiles, food…- my designs reflect my ethnic heritage and diverse accumulated experience. As I traveled around the world, I came across so many unique designs- a real festival for the eyes, but I couldn’t take them all home…And this is how I came to the idea- why not set up an online shop and let the magic of the unique designs reach the women of today.
If you could be an animal what would you be and why?
I would love to be a dolphin. Dolphins are intelligent, adaptive, very social and great parents. They are playful and curious.
If you could have one super power what would it be and why?
The power to read other peoples’ thoughts. I find this absolutely fascinating and I believe I will be in a position to help.
