Head Cowgirl Marilyn Lysohir founded Cowgirl Chocolates in 1997. Her two favorite things in the world are art (she has a notable career as a ceramic sculptor) and chocolate. In fact her first job was working in a chocolate factory in Pennsylvania. Marilyn mingled some favorite memories with some new ideas to create an American original, Cowgirl Chocolates...chocolates with a spicy cowgirl kick. She was the pioneer, one of the first companies to offer spicy chocolates in the world.
Cowgirl Chocolates has won a total of 19 product awards and 2 packaging awards and is located in Moscow, Idaho USA. It has also been featured on the Food Network on “Unwrapped” and “Extreme Cuisine” and on CNBC “On the Money”. They have also been written up in the New York Times, InStyle, the Toronto Star among others.

The Cowgirl Signature Wrap Truffle Box is Cowgirl Chocolates favorite truffles custom gift wrapped with their signature logo gift card. It's available in a 1/3 pound, 1/2 pound or 1 pound size.
I love the company name, Cowgirl Chocolates. The box was cutely wrapped with a ribbon and cute hat attached. I popped it open and stuck a Carmel in my mouse. I was amazed at the softness when all of a sudden my mouth started burnin. It was a slow come on so it took me a minute to realize I wasn't imaging things. I laugh now because it surprised me so much I had to run to the kitchen and grab a glass of water. I'm a real wimp when it comes to spicy foods but I immediately thought about Christmas and everyone I could buy those for - all the men in my family will love their spicy chocolate and Carmels {going to place my order this week}. There were even chocolates that were hot. I didn't even know they made spicy chocolates! Where have I been? My favorites were the sweet chocolates. They have a great product and I can't wait to place my order!
